Hoser, if they said that then they are the worlds biggest liars. We were there when six guys from Germany that were NOT jws were instructing bethel boys how to program it and put it together. That was part of the deal. Society buys the printery from the company and the company would fly out these WORLDLY men to assemble and program. I had asked if they were brothers and this is what I was told.

Canada Zone Visit - April 2013
by Richard_I injust got word of a zone visit for canada in april 2013, think it was april 8 to 14. sounds like its just 2 members of the u.s. branch comittee, no gb.
however, they plan on showing a talk on april 13/14 to all congregations in canada, not just a select few as has always been the case.. it'll be the same old stuff, but maybe this is why they the watchtower is purchasing all those projectors, like that "confidential" document mentions?
to broadcast things like this in all congregations?.

If this isn't the most fear I've ever seen ever! So, are you telling me that GB/FDS gets raptured up right before Harmegeddon? What happened to helping those through the great tribulation? Where are the words great tribulation on the charts? I can't imagine the elderly widow trying to figure this out when they don't get help now. Get everyone scared so they are out in the ministry out of fear NOT telling anyone about this special little gem. No wonder they had to draw picture charts.

Jeremiah book study material for this week makes a horrible point!
by stillin inwhile discussing how jeremiah was an encouragement to some of those around him, and how christians today can likewise be encouraging to depressed ones, the book plainly says, "when it is appropriate, offer encouraging words.
you will not have a divine revelation to offer to the one needing encouragement, yet you can include positive thoughts from the word of god, thoughts that focus on what the future holds.".
i'm sorry but this to me seems to be what is at the core of the problem with witness friendships.

Since when do elders even bring a bible and read scriptures out of it? Do they even read their own SCRIPTS from their publications? Your need even allowed to bring up bible amongst yourselves without being told you take your bible too serious.

Must have been that era or something in the water. My first time out in service and the PO's wife said the same thing. I said look at all those beautiful mennonite kids and she said yeah, too bad they will be destroyed at harmegeddon. I said why would you feel that way and she said big rats have little rats. That's just the way it is. I was shocked and hurt. People are not rats!!!!

If anything I can thank society for giving me all these different emotions(feelings of a gutted out fish/a dead stuck pig)that I never thought I had as well as thanking them for the emotional and physical abuse I went through caused by them. I wasn't even aware of society's agenda now knowing what their definition of conditional love means. I wouldn't be where or whom I am today if it wouldn't have been for all that "love". I'm a much better person for it. It answers soooo many questions as to the abuse me and my siblings had to endure from jw father. Explains why jw mother took her life and why none of the family have anything to do with each other.(horrific memories) Explains why I had no children but will give the shirt off my back to the underdogs. I think all of you would agree that there's no other people that are more compassionate and careing than all of us for what we've been subjected to and for that I am thankful. Have a good life now and time to move on Wish all of you the best in your journeys.

A very simple trick for helping JWs - be nice to them on YouTube!
by cedars inrecently i had someone contact me on facebook, thanking me for helping her awaken from indoctrination.. i am always interested in finding out the mechanisms behind people "awakening," so i asked her what i had done to make a difference.
it turned out i had left a complimentary remark on one of her youtube videos (she was singing a kingdom song) and she learned ttatt after clicking on my name and seeing the so-called apostate videos on my channel.. i don't think it was any of my own videos she ended up watching - from what she described it sounded like someone else's video that i had "liked.
" nonetheless, it was enough for her to become inquisitive and start exploring, and before she knew it she was free from mind control.. the moral of the story?

I know they just hired twenty to thirty youngters to run a second shift on the printing press. What I don't get is I know of a couple who live at bethel in Africa and were sent here to brooklyn to go to gilead and their new assignment is going back to bethel in Africa to their old assignment. What was that all about? Doesn't make sense. In the end it's all a waste of money. Money they don't seem to have!
